"Taara" about the name

"Since I was a little girl I remember perfectly the Geography classes at school. I remember my teacher taught me about the land called Terra Rossa up north of Israel.
It is red colored sand, rich with minerals and iron.
Yet, it is very difficult to work it. The farmers had to work hard and build special stairs called Terraces to make this land have amazing fruits.
In this way, I see the belly dance- as hard as I dance,
as better I become by creating these beautiful moves which
I call 'fruits'.

Also, my parents are Middle Eastern people, so I know from home the word 'Taara' which means 'drum with a low base sound'. The sound of this drum, made a unique harmony with the other Middle Eastern musical instruments, such as 'Udd' and 'Darbuka'.

"The word 'Taara' connects me with a process of creation, childhood and nostalgia, but most important of all, it connects me with R H Y T H M."
